PANTHEON Raphael's love story told through perfumes It takes inspiration from the most beautiful story of the Italian Renaissance and aims to be one of the most exclusive lines in the panorama of European Artistic Perfumery.
The story is enchanting and tells of Raffaello Sanzio who, called to Rome by the Pope to paint his apartments, finds himself associating with the highest aristocracy of the time, so much so that he is betrothed to Maria, nephew of Cardinal Medici. Raphael instead falls madly in love with Margherita, daughter of the baker in the Trastevere district. A forbidden love given the difference in wealth between the two, which takes place secretly in the garden behind her father's bakery. And theirs is a love of great passion, so much so that, after a fiery night with Margherita, Raffaello feels ill and dies a few days later. He dies and is buried - unique among all artists - in the temple of the Pantheon. To remain close to him and declare her eternal love, Margherita locks herself in a convent.
This story is so beautiful and strong that it can be told with perfumes which, like few other things, can evoke memories and feelings.
The fragrances are very particular: they describe characters and places in this story and they do so in an unexpected way. There are no olfactory Pyramids to describe these perfumes, but Emotional Pyramids, which are something else, more indistinct, certainly, but perhaps more respectful of an attentive "listener".
