Basil is native to tropical Asia and has spread through the Middle East to Europe, in particular Italy and France; considered a medicinal plant, it always accompanied travellers. They believe it is so called because it was used to produce perfumes for the King. Basil represents a "refreshing plant" popularly used both in cooking and in the consolidated medicinal tradition of Ayurvedic medicine. It is a natural repellent for numerous insects and mosquitoes. The "Tomato Leaves" is a perfume that makes you think of summer, which smells of the vegetable garden, of heat, of long summer days, of afternoons spent helping grandfather in the garden.

In perfumery it is used to give freshness to a fragrance and to give the sensation of being outdoors. It is great for neutralizing bad odors.

Citrus and Green Top Notes: - SICILY GREEN LEMON (Citrus limon) – estr. FRESH PEELS – FRESH, SWEET, CITRUS, GREEN notes. - BASIL (Ocimum basilicum) – extr. FRESH FLOWERING PLANT – FRESH, slightly BALSAMIC, HERBACEOUS notes, SPICY undertone. - TOMATO LEAVES (Solanum lycopersicum) – ROUGH, EARTHY, PUNGENT, HERBACEOUS, FRESH and TONIC notes.

Aromatic and Floral Heart Notes: - GREEN TEA (Camellia sinensis) – estr. NON-FERMENTED LEAVES – FRESH, GREEN, SPICY notes with AMBER and MUSKY base. - PITHOSPHERUS (Pittosporum tobira) – FLOWERY, PUNGENT, RESINOUS notes. - FREESIA (Freesia refracta) – DRY, FLORAL notes.

Woody Base Notes: - CEDAR WOOD (Cedrus atlantica) – estr. WOOD CHIPS – DRY, BALSAMIC, WOODY notes (from pencils). - VETIVER (Chrysopogon zizanioides Roberty) – estr. DRIED and MACERATED ROOTS – ORIENTAL, WOODY, EARTHY notes. - ROSEWOOD (Aniba rosaeodora) – estr. WOOD CHIPS – FLORAL, WARM, SWEET, WOODY, SPICY notes.
